Pictometry Announces More Jobs
Monroe County has more jobs on the way. Pictometry International announced plans to create 20 new jobs over the next year. The county will increase Pictometry's acreage in an empire zone, allowing the aerial imaging company to make a $10-million investment in its Henrietta facility.

Mother, Child Badly Burned in Fire
A mother and daughter are critically injured after flames swept through their home early Saturday morning. It happed on Osage Street in Irondequoit. Firefighters responded and found heavy smoke and flames at the home, which is right around the corner from the Point Pleasant Fire Station.

After many years of hard work in cramped quarters analysts at the Erie County Central Police Services Forensic Laboratory have a new home. They moved into the county Public Safety Campus in January. Analysts enjoy a state- of-the-art space there three times the size of the old one.
